Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 Collection

Tom & Lorenzo have put together a great review of the “Scientific Glamour” editorial for Vogue China’s August edition photographed by Greg Kadel.

What I love about the word "scientific" in this instance is that the combination of shiny coated-fabrics, unique prints, and architectural silhouettes can only be accomplished by today's advanced fabric technologies. Like most all techy high-end fashions, we are reminded of Paco Rabanne's 1960's concoctions of industrial plastics, metal, and paper. However, what makes these different is the fact that the fabrics are soft and wearable even if they look somewhat intense. So don't feel too bad for this model, if there is any discomfort, it is purely due to her melodramatic posturing.
