Soft Circuit Workshop in L.A.

Our friend Syuzi over at is holding a soft circuit workshop in LA on Febrary 22nd. This is a great way to meet other smart crafters and get your hands dirty with electronic threads and materials.

Apparently, the first half of the workshop will be an overview of conductive textiles and threads with a demo of a variety of soft switches, sensors and controls.

And the in the second part, you can deconstruct an electronic toy and use it to create a wearable.

Dates: Sunday, February 22nd, 11-4pm
Location: 972B Chung King Road
(The entrance is located in the alley between Chung King road and Hill St)
Limit: 12 people
Fee: $50
Material Requirements: Simple Electronic Toy, Garment (T-shirt, Sweatshirt, etc) for wearable

Register for Soft Circuit Workshop.

Glad to hear it went well for everyone involved!

I attended Syuzi's workshop at CHA in January . . . it was awesome! I am also interested in seeing this in how-to video!

I think it's a fantastic idea as well. I will certainly try to arrange for a videographer for the next workshop. Meanwhile, keep a lookout for online tutorials that cover the same topics as the hands-on workshops.

I totally can't go, but I can't!!! Could we suggest to your friend video-taping the workshop, posting it somewhere and charging people who can't physically attend? This is an amazing opportunity...if you live in CA!
